Wildlife Photography in Northern Maine

The river valley at Hewes Brook Lodge, which runs from Fish Lake to Portage Lake, offers an abundance of old skidder roads and cut over areas. This diversity of cover coupled with new growth trees is a great habitat for rabbits, woodcock, partridge and coyote. Our facility is located in a very secluded area and is perfect for photographing wildlife in their natural habitat.

You can do river floats with kayaks and canoes in which you can catch photos of Deer, Bear, Moose, Fox, Bobcat, Fisher, Beaver, Pine Martin, Eagles, Blue Heron, and other natural wilderness wildlife.
